Amar Khan Recommends Fawad Khan to Portray Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed
Actress Amar Khan has stirred debate online after suggesting Fawad Khan as the ideal actor to portray Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed if a film were to be made on Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos. During a recent talk show appearance, Amar was asked who she believes would be best suited for the potential cinematic role. She responded confidently, “There is a striking resemblance between Fawad Khan and Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb, so Fawad should be cast—he’ll definitely do a great job.”
The remark has sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some supported her view, others disagreed, claiming Fawad lacks the commanding presence needed for such a powerful military figure. One user wrote, “Neveeeeeeer him Fahad Khan—he doesn’t even meet his aura,” while another added, “Fawad doesn’t deserve to represent the forces.” A particularly passionate comment suggested, “No one can match his aura. Aurangzeb sir should play his role himself.”
The suggestion comes amid growing interest in a biopic based on the celebrated Air Vice Marshal. Director Nabeel Qureshi has hinted at the possibility of developing a film centered on Aurangzeb Ahmed’s role in the recent Indo-Pak conflict. In response to a fan’s suggestion on social media, Qureshi appeared open to the idea, further fueling speculation.
Fawad Khan, often admired for his charm and versatility, initially received public support for the role. However, his previously perceived neutral stance during wartime and involvement in cross-border film projects have prompted some netizens to withdraw their support.
