Asia Cup Hockey: Positive news in Indian media on Pakistan’s participation

Positive news has started coming regarding the participation of the Pakistan hockey team in the Asia Cup Hockey to be held in India this year. Indian media, which had been reporting the event without Pakistan until yesterday, say that the Indian government has given clearance for the participation of the Pakistan team in the event to be held in India.
The Asia Cup Hockey will begin in India on August 27. However, based on the tension between Pakistan and India, news was circulating in the Indian media that Pakistan would not be allowed to participate in this event. However, now there has been a sudden change in Indian attitude.
The Indian news agency reported, citing sources in the Indian Sports Ministry, that Pakistan’s participation in the Asia Cup to be held in India will not be stopped, India will not be against competing with Pakistan in international events, and countries of the world compete in sports despite being at war with each other.
On the other hand, an Indian newspaper says that India’s Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs have issued clearance for Pakistan’s participation in the Asia Cup.

It should be noted that the Pakistan Hockey Federation has made participation in the event conditional on government permission.

There has been no reaction from the Pakistani government on the event so far.
