Paris: A severe heat wave continues in Europe, with 8 people losing their lives in Spain, Italy and France.
Hundreds of people were hospitalized due to heatstroke, the mercury touched 41 degrees in the Spanish city of Cordoba, and temperatures exceeded 41 degrees Celsius in southern and central France.
2,200 schools were closed in France due to extreme heat, temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius were also recorded in Germany, and Portugal and the Netherlands are also in the grip of extreme heat.
