FIA Summons 15 CDA Officers in Rs297 Million Corruption Probe

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned 15 officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) over their alleged involvement in corruption amounting to millions of rupees, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.

The FIA’s Corporate Crime Circle issued a second notice related to ongoing proceedings under inquiry number 49/2022. The investigation stems from a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) audit para concerning a financial loss of Rs297.09 million to the national treasury.

According to the FIA, the loss was incurred due to unauthorized trade changes and the application of incorrect conversion charges without proper approval from the CDA board.

Summons have been issued for officers to appear at the FIA office in Islamabad on July 8, 9, and 10 at 11:00 AM. Those called include high-ranking officials such as a member estates, former directors, deputy directors, and personnel from accounts, administration, and junior staff positions.

The FIA has warned that failure to appear on the designated dates will result in legal action against the concerned individuals.
