Fiza Ali Breaks Down Over Humaira Asghar’s Tragic Death

Jul 13, 2025

KARACHI – TV host and actress Fiza Ali was visibly emotional on her morning show as she reflected on the heartbreaking tragedy of Humaira Asghar Ali — a once-celebrated artist whose decomposed body was recently found in her Karachi apartment, months after her apparent death.

Appearing on her show Morning with Fiza Ali, the host broke into tears while discussing the devastating neglect that surrounded Humaira’s final days.

“Why was Humaira — a daughter, an artist, a human being — left alone?” Fiza asked, her voice shaking with sorrow. “Why did no one come for her? Why did her own family not stand by her?”

Humaira, 32, was reportedly dead for eight to ten months before her body was discovered. The tragedy intensified when her father allegedly refused to accept her remains, stating, “Do whatever you want with her body. We will not receive it.”

Fiza Ali used the platform not only to mourn Humaira’s loss but to spotlight the systemic and emotional issues faced by independent women in society. She urged viewers to reflect on the silence that often hides unbearable pain, especially among those who live alone or are estranged from their families.

“This isn’t just about Humaira,” she said passionately. “It’s about every child who is abandoned. Every person whose voice is lost in loneliness.”

In a heartfelt appeal, Fiza criticised societal norms that reject and stigmatize rather than support. She emphasized that parents have a religious and moral duty to protect their children, regardless of life choices or circumstances.

Quoting Islamic teachings, she stressed the importance of compassion, empathy, and accountability. “What kind of society allows someone who once brought joy to others to be forgotten so cruelly?” she asked.

Fiza concluded with a powerful message: “Let’s not wait for another tragedy. Let us learn to hear the silence — the quiet cries of those who suffer alone. Only then can we truly call ourselves a compassionate society.”
