President Masoud Peshkeshkian was injured in Israeli attack: Iranian media
Tehran: (Web Desk) Iranian media has revealed that Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga was slightly injured in an Israeli airstrike.
According to Fars News, a news agency affiliated with Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, the attack took place on June 16 at a building in western Tehran where a meeting of the Supreme National Security Council was underway.
According to Fars News, President Peshkeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Judiciary Chief Mohseni Ejie, and other senior officials attended the meeting. Six missiles or bombs were fired at the entrance and exit of the building, with the aim of blocking the exit of officials.
According to the report, the power to the affected floor was cut off after the explosions, but officials in the building were able to exit through a pre-prepared emergency exit. During this time, some officials, including President Peshkian, suffered minor injuries, especially a minor wound to his leg.
Fars News described the attack as similar to an old Israeli plot to target Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut. The accuracy of the information used in the attack was unusual, leading Iranian authorities to investigate the possibility of internal espionage or an informant.
It should be noted that a few days ago, senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Mohsen Rezaei, confirmed on state TV that Israel had attacked six different locations at the location where the Security Council meeting was taking place, but no members were harmed.
