QUETTA — At least six people were killed and several others injured during a violent clash between two rival tribes in the Tot Adda area of Qila Abdullah, Balochistan, on Monday, Levies officials confirmed.

The clash stemmed from an ongoing land dispute, which reignited tensions between the two tribes, leading to a heavy exchange of gunfire involving automatic weapons.

Panic gripped the area following the confrontation, and local markets were immediately closed due to fears of further violence.

Law enforcement agencies and Levies personnel rushed to the scene to bring the situation under control and prevent further bloodshed.

Authorities have begun an investigation, and security in the region has been tightened. However, no arrests have been reported as of yet.

Tribal feuds, often rooted in land and resource conflicts, remain a persistent issue in parts of Balochistan, frequently resulting in casualties and disruptions to civilian life.
