
Tribal Clashes Turn Deadly in Sindh: Two Killed, Twelve Injured in Separate Incidents
Sindh – July 27, 2025: Violent tribal rivalries erupted across different parts of Sindh on Sunday, leaving two people dead and twelve others seriously injured in three separate armed confrontations in Kandyaro, Shikarpur, and Tangwani.
In the first incident, a violent clash broke out between the Solangi and Hakro tribes in the village of Urs Solangi, Kandyaro. One individual, identified as Liaquat Solangi, was killed on the spot, while six others sustained critical injuries. The wounded, named as Imran Hakro, Jabbar, Ghulam Mohammad, Irfan, Mohammad Hassan, and Sajan, were rushed to Civil Hospital Kandyaro for emergency medical treatment.
The second fatal confrontation occurred in Lakhi Ghulam Shah tehsil of Shikarpur, where members of the Mehar and Jatoi tribes exchanged gunfire. According to eyewitnesses, armed men stormed a building before opening fire, resulting in the death of one person. A graphic video of the incident quickly circulated on social media, intensifying public concern.
This clash is part of a long-running tribal feud that has claimed at least 32 lives to date, highlighting the deep-rooted tensions in the region.
In Tangwani’s Rasoolabad village, a land dispute between two factions of the Bhatti tribe escalated into violence. Members from both sides used bricks and clubs during the altercation. Police responded promptly and transported the injured to a local hospital, where two victims remain in critical condition.
Authorities have vowed to tighten security and launch thorough investigations into the incidents to prevent further bloodshed.
