
Pakistan Armed Forces Commemorate 77th Martyrdom Anniversary

The Armed Forces of Pakistan solemnly marked the 77th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider), paying heartfelt tribute to his unmatched courage and unwavering patriotism.
Captain Sarwar Shaheed was the first recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military gallantry award. He embraced martyrdom on July 27, 1948, during the First Kashmir War at Tilpatra, Azad Kashmir, while leading his men in combat with exceptional bravery and tactical acumen.
His ultimate sacrifice in the face of enemy fire established an enduring legacy of honour, duty, and selflessness, becoming a source of inspiration for generations of soldiers and officers in the Pakistan Armed Forces.
In a statement, military officials reiterated that Captain Sarwar’s legacy continues to guide the nation’s defenders, representing the very spirit of sacrifice and commitment that defines the armed forces of Pakistan.
