Diplomatic setback to Modi government: Trump’s letter to Garuptunat Singh
New York: (Web News) All Indian efforts to crush the Khalistan movement at the international level have failed due to the failure of India’s position to be fully recognized by several international organizations, including the United Nations.
The biggest proof of India’s failed diplomacy is US President Trump’s letter to Gurpatwant Singh, and this letter has become proof of the failure of India’s diplomatic strategy and the global resonance of the Khalistan movement.
US President Trump wrote a letter to Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the leader of the pro-Khalistan organization Sikhs for Justice, which has sparked a new debate at the international level. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu was declared a terrorist by the Indian government in 2020, however, the letter received from the US President assumed special significance for the Khalistan movement.
President Trump’s letter comes at a time when the Khalistan movement referendum is scheduled to be held in Washington on August 17, and a few weeks before the referendum, this letter from the President holds great importance not only in political but also in diplomatic circles.
US President Donald Trump’s letter emphasizes policies based on trade, tariffs, defense spending and American values. He further wrote in the letter that “as President, he is committed to protecting the values that make us Americans.”
The contents of the letter also include decisions related to US foreign policy, military preparedness and global aid.
