
US releases report on human rights violations in India
Washington: (Web News) The United States has released a report on human rights violations in India.
According to US State Department spokesperson Timmy Bruce, extrajudicial killings, serious human rights violations have occurred in India, media outlets critical of the Indian government have been harassed, and those critical of the Indian government have faced arrests.
Timmy Bruce said that there are restrictions on freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, and other rights in occupied Kashmir. The United States has good relations with Pakistan and India. The United States and Pakistan have established a dialogue on counter-terrorism.
He added that Pakistan reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism in recent talks, and the US and Pakistan discussed ways to increase cooperation to combat terrorism.
