DHA RUN Successfully Held at DHA Phase IX (PRISM)
LAHORE :The DHA RUN was successfully organized at DHA Phase IX (PRISM) by Defence Housing Authority Lahore. The event was inaugurated by Administrator DHA, Brig Muhammad Kashif Hamayun.
At the conclusion of the run, the Chief Guest distributed medals among the winning male and female runners. Brig Mir Siddique, Executive Director Sports, along with Col Shahbaz, Col Attique ur Rehman, Col Umair Najum and other officials, were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the participants, Brig Muhammad Kashif announced that similar runs will be arranged at other DHA sports complexes during the month of Ramadan. A large crowd of enthusiastic participants, both male and female from all age groups, took part in the event.
Various DHA sports clubs including Karate, Judo, Skating, Gym and others actively participated in this prestigious event. The organizers appreciated the overwhelming response and announced that such events will be held once every two months to encourage children and youth to engage in healthy sports activities instead of spending excessive time on mobile devices.
Before the start of the run, the Kyokushin Karate Club of DHA Phase VI, Capt Fasih Babar Amin Shaheed Sports Complex Lahore, presented an impressive demonstration under the supervision of Shihan Atta Hussain Butt, Sensei Saima Batool, Sensei Amjad Prince and Sensei Ghazenfer Ali.
The karatekas performed Kihon, Kata, Kumite, Nunchucks and dynamic kicks, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
