Electricity price reduction: NEPRA notification

Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has announced a reduction in electricity prices.

According to a statement issued by Nepra, the electricity price for DISCO consumers has been reduced by 49 paise per unit. The reduction in electricity rates for DISCO consumers was made as part of the monthly fuel cost adjustment for May.
According to the announcement, electricity prices for Karachi consumers have been reduced by Rs 4.60 per unit, while the reduction in electricity rates for K-Electric consumers was made as part of the monthly fuel cost adjustment for April.

According to the decision, this reduction will apply to all consumers of Discos and K-Electric, but will not apply to Lifeline, prepaid consumers and electric vehicle charging stations.
