Pakistani Ambassador Strengthens Ties with Moscow’s Prestigious MGIMO University

Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi visited today Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO) and met with Anatoly Torkunov Rector of MGIMO-University.

The sides discussed the prospects for developing and deepening cooperation in the field of education and research between MGIMO and leading universities and think tanks in Pakistan. The parties confirmed their interest in strengthening academic exchanges, developing joint research projects and organizing scientific and cultural events.

During the visit, Ambassador Tirmizi also held a Q&A session with the Russian students who study Pakistan and the region. The Ambassador highly praised their deep knowledge of the Urdu language.

The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere and confirmed the mutual interest of the parties in further expanding cooperation in the educational and scientific fields.
