
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Declares 2026 as Year of Youth
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the province’s first-ever public engagement platform titled “Talk to CM”, a digital portal designed to enable direct communication between the youth of Punjab and the Chief Minister’s Office.
The launch ceremony included a comprehensive briefing by Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, who outlined the objectives and features of the initiative. According to the briefing, the “Talk to CM” portal is a unique step in Punjab’s administrative history, aimed at strengthening youth participation in governance.
Dedicated Youth Interface
A key feature of the Talk to CM portal is the creation of separate sections and interfaces specifically designed for individuals aged 20 years and above. This structured approach ensures that young citizens can easily submit their ideas, feedback, and suggestions regarding government programs and development projects.
Through the portal, youth from across Punjab can register by providing their name and basic details before sharing innovative proposals and constructive feedback related to provincial initiatives.

2026 Declared as ‘Year of Youth’
During the briefing, it was highlighted that CM Maryam Nawaz has declared 2026 as the “Year of Youth” in Punjab, reinforcing the government’s commitment to empowering young people and integrating their voices into policymaking processes.
Officials described the portal as a major step toward digital governance, transparency, and inclusive policymaking, enabling direct engagement between provincial leadership and the younger generation.
A First in Punjab’s History
According to government representatives, the “Talk to CM” platform is the first initiative of its kind in Punjab, reflecting a modern governance model that prioritizes accessibility and citizen participation.
