Punjab govt places public sector hospitals on high alert

LAHORE – The Punjab government has directed all public sector hospitals across the province to remain on emergency alert and maintain full operational readiness in view of the prevailing situation.

Emergency preparedness measures

According to official instructions:

  • Emergency wards, operation theaters, and trauma centres must remain fully functional at all times.
  • Availability of specialist doctors has been ensured.
  • Stocks of essential medicines and medical supplies have been secured to handle any contingency.

The directive further emphasizes that both administrative and medical staff must remain vigilant and prepared to respond immediately to any emergency.

Officials stated that the government is committed to safeguarding every human life through a coordinated strategy and rapid response mechanism, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services across Pakistan’s most populous province.
