
Qatari Princess Asma Al Thani climbs Pakistan’s Nanga Parbat
ISLAMABAD: Qatari Princess Sheikha Asma Al Thani has scaled Pakistan’s 8,126-meter-high mountain Nanga Parbat.
Sheikha Asma Al Thani became the first Qatari woman to scale Nanga Parbat, despite dangerous weather and difficult routes, the national flag was hoisted on Nanga Parbat (the famous killer mountain).
Sheikha Asma’s achievement is the ninth successful stage in her campaign to climb the 14 highest peaks. With the conquest of Nanga Parbat, Sheikha Asma became prominent among the ranks of world mountaineers.
