U.S. and Pakistan Launch Partnership to Advance Chemical Security Education

Lahore: The United States has taken a significant step toward strengthening chemical security education in Pakistan. Under the U.S. Department of State’s *Chemical Security Program, experts from *Sandia National Laboratories collaborated with faculty from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and Punjab University to co-develop a new curriculum.

The program is designed to equip Pakistan’s next generation of scientists and engineers with the knowledge and tools needed to address global challenges in a safe, responsible, and innovative way.

According to the U.S. Embassy, the initiative marks the beginning of deeper collaboration between Pakistani academia, industry, and government with U.S. partners. Officials said the partnership will not only strengthen chemical security but also create new opportunities in education, innovation, and economic growth.
