Ukraine says Flamingo missiles struck Russian plant in Udmurtia
KYIV: Ukraine’s domestically produced Flamingo missiles struck a Russian plant manufacturing ballistic missiles in the remote southern region of Udmurtia overnight, Ukraine’s General Staff said on Saturday.
In a statement, the military said the facility was located in Votkinsk, about 1,400 km (800 miles) from Ukraine. The plant reportedly produces intercontinental ballistic missiles as well as short-range ballistic missiles.
Ukrainian officials also said their forces targeted a gas processing plant in Russia’s Samara Oblast as part of the same overnight operation.
There was no immediate comment from Russian authorities on the reported strikes.
