UK Celebrates King Charles III’s Birthday with Vibrant Events in Islamabad and Karachi

The British High Commission in Pakistan marked King Charles III’s birthday with grand celebrations in Islamabad and Karachi. British High Commissioner Jane Marriott expressed gratitude for the attendees, including Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif, who participated as the chief guest.

The event featured live performances, including by the UK’s Honourable Artillery Company Regimental Band.

The celebrations showcased a blend of British and Pakistani cultures, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations. High Commissioner Marriott emphasized the importance of arts, culture, and tourism in promoting closer ties between the UK and Pakistan.

The event also focused on environmental issues, with the UK announcing new climate-related initiatives, including the Climate Finance Accelerator Programme and an AI-based forest fire detection system.
