KARACHI (Web News) – The tragic fire at Karachi’s historic Gul Plaza has plunged not only city residents but the entire country into deep shock and grief.

Images of the blaze engulfing the building over the weekend flooded mobile screens and television channels, creating an atmosphere of sorrow and disbelief across Pakistan.

Several celebrities from the showbiz industry expressed condolences, offered prayers for the deceased, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

“Heartbroken to see what happened at Gul Plaza. My prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones. No words are enough for such loss,” said Sajal Aly in her social media post.

Zhalay Sarhadi and comedian Ali Gul Pir shared messages of grief and solidarity with the affected families.

Minal Khan recalled her personal memories associated with Gul Plaza while expressing sorrow over the incident.

In her statement, Minal Khan strongly criticised the prevailing situation in Karachi, saying the city—despite being the country’s economic hub—is being neglected like an “abandoned orphan,” neither fully owned by the province nor adequately supported by the federal government.
