Lahore – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken a significant step to revitalize the province’s economy by establishing the Economic Transformation Committee, a dedicated body tasked with driving sector-wise development and boosting industrial growth.
According to official sources, the 11-member committee will be headed by Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, with the Finance Secretary serving as the committee secretary. The formation of this committee signals the provincial government’s commitment to structured, data-driven economic planning.

The committee has been assigned a comprehensive mandate to overhaul the economic landscape of Punjab. Its primary objectives include:
