RM Injured Ahead of BTS Comeback, Fans Concerned

RM, the leader of global K-pop sensation BTS, has suffered an ankle injury just days before the group’s highly anticipated full-group comeback, raising concern among fans worldwide.

The incident occurred during rehearsals on March 19, shortly before BTS’s major reunion performance scheduled for March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. According to the group’s agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, RM was immediately taken to the hospital after the injury.

Doctors diagnosed him with a talus contusion, partial ligament tear, and accessory navicular sprain. Medical professionals have advised him to wear a cast and limit physical activity for at least two weeks to ensure proper recovery.

Despite the setback, RM remains determined to take part in the comeback event. After discussions with the agency, it was decided that he will still appear on stage, though his movements—especially choreography—will be significantly restricted to prevent further injury.

The upcoming performance is a historic moment for BTS, marking their first full-group appearance in nearly four years. All seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—are set to reunite following military service and solo projects, making the event highly anticipated across the globe.

Fans, known as ARMY, quickly took to social media to share messages of support. Many encouraged RM to prioritize his health, with heartfelt posts wishing him a speedy recovery and urging him not to push himself too hard.

The event, titled “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG,” will be streamed worldwide, with the iconic Gyeongbokgung Palace providing a stunning backdrop.

While RM’s injury may slightly alter the performance, excitement remains high as BTS prepares to make a powerful return—proving once again why they are one of the biggest music acts in the world.
